For containers that do not need to be resealed, use a free-standing, one-piece liner with layers of PET (polyester), foam, aluminum and sealant. These include the usual release films, which are provided with a label for easy removal of the seal.

If a Seal Liner needs to be closed again, you need a two-piece liner solution. This can be achieved by first lining the closure with a pulp or foam lining, followed by a one-piece heat Seal Liner. A more cost-effective two-piece liner solution uses a pulp or foam backing, a wax-bound liner, and allows the container to be resealed after opening. The composition of the layers that make up the two-piece pad depends on the type of pad and the content of the product.

How do we prevent leaks in the Seal Liner?

One of the purposes of a Seal Liner is to prevent leaks that occur when the Seal Liner does not completely seal the top of the packaging and the contents of the container can escape. Leaks can sometimes occur when there is a problem with the pressure, heat or time exerted on the induction insert.

With regard to the pressure component, this refers to the applied torque exerted by the cap on the bottle. Torque problems occur when torque is inconsistent, torque is too high and torque is too low.

A common cause of leakage is that the induction insert overheats during thermal induction. An overheated gasket liner can melt and burn through holes in the liner. This can happen if the heat sensor is set too high and/or the lid spends too much time under the heat sensor head.

The large number of leaks we hear is caused by bottle problems. Bottles that are not completely flat in the mouth area (upper area in contact with the induction insert) may prevent the seal from adhering properly.
